Just Friends...

I think of you every minute, 

trying to find you in every other person.

I have liked you ever since I've first laid my eyes on you,

afraid to ruin what we had at that time .

The scattered heartbeat, the exchange of looks,

the butterflies in my stomach.

Thankful for all the memories we made together,

the excitement of meeting you even if it was just for split seconds.

Your words were like honey and your smile would lit up my whole day.

The anxious wait for your calls and our long night talks would make me forget all my problems.

Maybe in another life, i would finally be able to call you mine,

I don't care if we can't be together, as long as we stay just friends, 

as long as you're around.
