Stay

 For me, stay is not just a word, it's an emotion

a word with thousands of meanings and hidden sentiments

it holds so much yet sometimes can be the most difficult expression 

The amount of times I had wanted to hear it from you every time we decided to part ways 

there are so many ways to make this small word hold so much meaning, 

"stay safe"

"stay alert"

"stay bold"

"stay young" 

there are so many times I had wanted to ask for you to stay with me, just a bit longer 

until all the happiness took completely over my heart 

I distanced myself from you, just cuz I was scared even though all I wanted, 

was for us to stay together for longer 

the way I just wanted to hug you more, just for five more mins

I want you to stay, 

don't stay because I need you 

but stay because you want to.
