Long distance relationship

 As a person who is currently in a long distance relationship with her family and friends, I can say from the bottom of my heart that I hate it. Long distance relationship takes patience, time, understanding, it requires a lot of hard work, a lot of communication and dedication. 

Every person has experienced long distance relationship once in their life, let it be couples, family, friends etc. etc. I'm not saying long distance relationships are impossible and that every person who has been in a long distance relationship have broken up but they have had more downfalls and hardships in their lives than short distance relationships. One of the biggest mistake an individual can do in a long distance relationship is having unmet expectations, as most of us cannot control what we feel or what we think, you may think that miscommunication is one of the biggest reason people face difficulties in their relationship but more than miscommunication it's keeping high expectations from your loved ones and them failing to achieve your expectations. It breaks you in so many ways and you won't have anyone to blame other than yourself.

Every beautiful thing requires backbreaking work. Relationships are one of the most prepossessing an individual experiences in their life. It brings positivity, happiness, it brings good mental health to an individual and it includes lower rates of depression and anxiety, but that is not always the case. 

There are many ways a long distance relationship can be kept healthy: 

1. you should build trust between each other, be open and honest about what you are doing and where you are going.

2.Talk when you have something to share, it's not important to talk everyday, you are required to give the other individual their own space. it makes the relationship more spontaneous and makes allowances for busy periods.

3. Make sure you have a plan to the end the distance one day or the other. It is not sustainable for long term.

It's important that you have a sense of yourself as a separate person while being in a relationship and keep the relationship balanced.

waiting is a sign of true love and patience. anyone can say I love you, but not everyone can wait and prove it's true.
