Dear me in five years...

For a person who has barely planned her future, this has to be one of my writings in which I've put a lot of thoughts in. So here is an eye opening letter to myself for the future.

Dear me in five years,

Hey, always heard that phrase of time passing by so fast but never really felt it, and here I'm reading this letter to myself hoping to relive so many moments again and again.

Anyways,

Are you still waking up late as usual and being one of the laziest person alive or have you been more productive lately? The amazing thing is you are in your twenty's, well i don't know if that is amazing but I hope that you are more grateful than before. 

You might remember that teenage you used to be who had an excuse ready for everything, Are you still that person who has her heart filled with buckets of emotions or have you become a lil bit insensitive.

I'm not here to remind you of how imperfect you were in your teenage years, well who wasn't tho and it's not like everyone had to be perfect, right?

I'm actually surprisingly here to assure you, my future happy self that Its going to be okay, that every wound will heal and every scar will fade. stop looking back at your past mistakes over and over again and forgive yourself for what happened as that time has already passed by. Enjoy your present and surprise yourself with the future. Regardless of what anyone has ever said to you, you will always be perfect in your own eyes and you don't need anyone else's confirmation. 

You may still not have graduated from your university as you are studying medicine for six years. Are you still worried if you can make it or not! umm girl you have accomplished every obstacle life has thrown at you without ever giving up and if you ever think about giving up, just stand up and remind yourself who you are doing this for.

Are you still the only loud person in the room or have you lowered down your voice a lil bit? can you speak up for yourself or do you still bottle up your emotions inside you everyday? are you still fighting with the demons inside you or have you let yourself free? Are you still writing these articles or have you given this up as well? 

The things I want you to remind yourself each and everyday is that you are not worthless, you are one strong human who can defeat anything and anyone who creates a barrier in your way. You will achieve what you set your mind to even if it takes long! you've learned that forgiving someone for what they did is totally fine no matter how much they've hurt you but trusting them again will be one of the biggest mistakes you might make leading yourself to misery. Always remember that you do not own anyone anything, stop feeling guilty over things that are not in your control, you are here to enjoy your life and live like there is no tomorrow.

I'm writing this letter to you so hopefully one day when you reread this letter you will be able to be thankful for all the things that happened and also for those that didn't work out. This ultimately makes you a different person and you will be able to progress through life as you get older. 

Life isn't about always winning, but it is about continuously learning. If, in the future, you're facing a tough time, this letter is here to remind you that there is no such thing as giving up. It is never too late to start.
